Aluminium: the hand finished nature of this object means the surface finish will vary, each piece containing its own unique variations. Over time the raw finish will naturally patina, becoming slightly darker, which will not affect use.
If the aluminium comes in contact with water or other liquids, promptly rinse with clean, warm water and thoroughly dry to prevent spotting.
Regularly clean wax residue after each use. For ease of cleaning, apply hot water to the base of the sconce - the dried wax and base plate will easily separate from the main sconce.
