PARCTA welcomes Amsterdam for its Pop-Up Launch Weekend, at the intersection of Objects, Design and Wine.
This May, new Amsterdam-based design brand PARCTA celebrated its launch weekend, hosting a pop-up in the heart of Jordaan. Designing intriguing objects for authentic living, PARCTA objects are designed to celebrate individuality and to bring intention into daily practices. Rooted in the idea that good design is a language, not a style which comes and goes, PARCTA sets out to design authentic, sincere and intriguing products, cutting through the clout of fast trends.
Locally based in Amsterdam, with many products designed, made and hand-finished in the Netherlands, the weekend was a reflection of PARCTA's values, championing authenticity, quality and intention.
The weekend kicked off with a Friday night opening celebration, a lively and welcoming night. Members of the local design community gathered in a celebration which spilled out onto the street, creating an atmosphere of warmth and connection where each object flowed into the next, inspiring engaging conversations and the forming of many new friendships.
PARCTA partnered with Amsterdam-based, natural winemaker Chenin Chenin Wines, inviting conversations over a glass of Spanish orange wine. Producing honest wines for curious drinkers, Chenin Chenin sources from wine experts in France, Spain and Italy. Over a glass of orange wine, intriguing objects and an open, warm space, the conversations flowed.
On display were some of PARCTA’s new objects. The versatile Gadroon Plinth, styled as both a decorative display for flowers, and as a functional wine holder, served as an eye-catching, conversational piece. Visible from the street, passersby were curiously drawn into the space and welcomed by the PARCTA team, where new friendships were forged.
Each piece, from the Standard Lamp lighting collection to the Egress Candle Holder, showcase dedication to quality materials and expert craftsmanship. Many of these pieces either crafted or hand finished in the Netherlands, emphasising the brand’s value-led approach to materials and manufacturing.
With its art galleries, street markets, bars, and local restaurants, the bustling district of Jordaan was the perfect backdrop for the PARCTA launch. Jordaan's paved streets, picturesque canals and traditional Dutch terraces, each with their own unique charm, blended seamlessly with PARCTA’s commitment to uniqueness, community and authenticity.
The weekend was a celebration of community and shared interests. Unique individuals who arrived as strangers - united by a passion for design - left as friends, testament to PARCTA’s mission to create not just objects, but experiences that foster genuine human connection.
PARCTA extends a huge thank you to all those who attended the launch weekend. Your presence, support and enthusiasm for the brand are deeply valued. We look forward to sharing new objects and designs over the coming months, remaining committed to our values of quality and intention, in our pursuit of authenticity.
